Around 2012 the SPB management changed the Point Special lager recipe to an all-malt beer and also changed to a high gravity brewing process. If you google "high gravity brewing process" you can learn more about the theory.

Back in 2012 when all the Point Special Lager Beer was brewed with corn grits before Gabe Hopkins changed the original lager recipe.
