Brewer Brad thinks one of the biggest mistakes the Stevens Point Brewery management and their brew master did to the history of their flagship Point Special lager beer in 2012 was to brew the Point Special lager beer without the adjunct corn grits and then to brew the beer to a higher specific gravity and then water down the beer later to the required 4.66 % alcohol by volume. Just ask any loyal beer drinker that ordered Point Special beer over the decades what the new formula tastes like now.
