This type of Woodward Hydraulic Turbine Water Wheel Governor was first patented in 1912 and the VR(vertical relay) type was the first model in a series of different configurations to suit the different types of turbine water wheel applications. A unit of this Woodward VR type governor is in the Rockford Midway Village Museum in as new condition. For the love of Water Power!
