The Woodward governor shown is from a conversion upgrade project from an older Allis-Chalmers Water wheel Governor. The Base is from the old governor system and the relay valve up shows the modern up-to-date Woodward gate shaft series governor system installed. The Woodward gate shaft series governor was installed in hundreds of smaller Hydroelectric Power Plants. This type of Woodward governor was engineered and manufactured to operate for 100 years of service.
