This Lucas Aerospace Company's fuel control is a Combined Acceleration and Scheduling Control (CASC). It controls the high pressure (HP) fuel pump output through variable metering orifices. The control contains two governor systems. The Acceleration Governor controls the amount of fuel necessary to accel/decel the engine without stalling the engine. The scheduling control system controls the fuel flow for the steady running of the gas turbine engine.
