The Titanic ship was equipped with three main engines. Two reciprocating four-cylinder, triple-expansion steam engines and one centrally placed low-pressure Parson's turbine engine for the marine propulsion systems. The two reciprocating steam engines had a combined output of 30,000 horsepower and each steam engine weighing 720 tonnes. The Parson turbine was 50 feet long, weighed 410 tons, and delivered when running at 165 rpm, about 16,000 horsepower. Each engine driving a propeller(3).
